Cargill Fertilizer is a member of the Florida
Phosphate Council, a trade association of seven
member companies comprising 98 percent of all
phosphate mining and fertilizer manufacturing in
Florida. Its members include CF Industries, Inc.,
Cargill Fertilizer, Farmland Hydro, L.P.,
IMC-Agrico Company, Mulberry Corporation, PCS
Phosphate-White Springs and U.S. Agri-Chemicals
Corporation.
The phosphate industry is committed to
stewardship of the land and demonstrates this
commitment by:
- Returning all of the land it uses to
environmentally and economically
productive uses
- Reducing water use by recycling 95.3
percent of all the water used in mining
and working on programs to recycle even
more
- Reducing energy consumption and
contributing to energy supplies through
co-generation
- Committing to an on-going initiative
through a set of guiding principles to
dramatically reduce its overall
environmental impact while increasing its
contribution to the world's food supply
